“I will continue to encourage
businesses to locate here, bringing high paying jobs so that
our residents can work closer to home.
I will continue my
efforts to improve transportation - accelerating street
improvements, widening roads and reducing congestion. I will
continue to maintain and enhance parks and other amenities
for our residents. And, continue to keep our streets and
homes safe by supporting our police and fire departments."
The Commission meets in formal session the first
four Tuesdays of each month at 10 a.m. in Room 422
of the Broward County Governmental Center. Public
Hearing broadcasts begin at 2 p.m.
The Broward County Charter provides for a
separation between the legislative and
administrative functions of government. The Board of
County Commissioners is the legislative branch of
Broward County Government.
