Broward County Commissioner-elect Dale Holness,
representing District 9, was sworn in by Art Kennedy, long
time Chief of Staff to U.S. Representative Alcee Hastings.
“Art Kennedy is a true statesman in the community,” said
Commissioner-elect Holness. “He has always been a mentor; he
even taught me how to drive. I respect him greatly.”
District 9 includes portions of the cities of Fort
Lauderdale, Lauderhill, Oakland Park, Sunrise, Tamarac,
Plantation, North Lauderdale, and Lauderdale Lakes.
